Frequently asked questions
Does AÏDO give my child the answers?
By default, no: AÏDO guides with questions so the child finds the answer on their own, instead of giving the solution. If the parent decides to, they can allow AÏDO to give the answer.
From what age?
AÏDO is designed for ages 7-12. The level of guidance adapts to each child from the parent app.
Does my child have to look at a screen?
No. AÏDO is a screen-free sphere. Everything happens through voice and light: the child speaks, AÏDO listens and guides, and the LED ring shows whether they’re heading in the right direction.
How does AÏDO know what my child is working on?
In two ways. Either the child shakes it and asks their question. Or you photograph the lesson and the exercise from the app, then turn on listening mode for the duration of the exercise. AÏDO then follows the reasoning and notices if the child goes off track.
Is my child’s data protected?
Yes. GDPR-compliant, hosted in Europe, no reselling, no advertising, no trackers. The photos and audio from a session aren’t kept afterwards, and you can erase everything in two clicks.
Which subjects are covered?
All school subjects (literacy, maths, history-geography, science, languages) are included for life. Conversational English is available as an add-on via the Pass Univers.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 8 hrs of active use and up to 7 days on standby. A full charge takes 2 hrs 30 via USB-C, and the battery can be replaced in 5 minutes.
Can I use it for several children?
Yes, with AÏDO+ Family: several child profiles, a single parent account, and separate settings for each one.
